Our range of veterinary treatments
At MeikoVet small animal practices, your pet will receive the best medical care. Highly trained veterinarians take care of the well-being of your pets. You will be supported by technical specialists. This enables us to cover a wide range of services in every veterinary practice.
At the beginning of every treatment is your animal and its need. Before any treatment or surgery, we will explain the possible consequences for your pet and inform you about the costs.
Our vets are completely free to choose the type and scope of treatment – unfortunately this is not a matter of course. If possible and appropriate, our vets will inform you about alternative treatment methods. Together with us you decide which way is right for your pet.
Here you will find an overview of our range of veterinary treatments for dogs, cats and small animals:
Broadcast “Tierisch” from January 23, 2025
Grinding teeth in rabbits
Rabbits’ teeth grow throughout their lives. To prevent the roots of the teeth from growing in the wrong direction (so-called retrograde tooth growth) and causing health problems, it is important to have the teeth checked regularly by a vet. In some cases, the rabbit’s teeth may need to be ground down by a vet.
In the “Tierisch” program, you can find out which signs may indicate a problem in your rabbit’s mouth and make a visit to the vet necessary. Dr. med. vet. Julia Rettberg, head vet at the MeikoVet small animal practice in St. Gallen, explains what to look out for and how to provide a rabbit’s teeth with a natural opportunity to wear down.
Broadcast “Tierisch” from January 2, 2025
