This can be the case, for example, for animals in a more mature phase of life, but also regardless of age if you would like to have your animal’s state of health checked in more detail.

Both offers serve the healthcare of your animal. MeikoVet Prevention Vital is designed as a basic prevention check and examines selected important blood values.

MeikoVet Prevention Gold goes one step further: The extended blood profile includes additional blood values and thus enables a more comprehensive assessment of various organ functions and metabolic processes. For cats, the determination of the thyroid value T4 and a blood pressure measurement are also part of the Gold check.

No. The prevention check is intended exclusively for animals without current symptoms of illness. If your animal shows complaints or appears sick, please make a regular examination appointment. This allows our veterinary team to respond specifically to the current symptoms.

You will find out whether and for how long your animal should remain fasting before the appointment when you make the appointment. This allows us to ensure that the planned examinations are carried out under suitable conditions.

Since the blood tests are carried out directly in our clinic, the results are usually available quickly. As soon as the values are available, they are evaluated by the veterinarian. You will then be contacted by telephone as soon as possible to discuss the results together.

Further examinations, diagnostic clarifications, or treatments that are additionally necessary or desired due to a finding are not included in the package price.

Should abnormalities show up during the clinical examination or the laboratory values, we will discuss the results with you. Depending on the finding, further targeted examinations, follow-up checks, or treatment may be recommended.

Additional examinations or treatments that go beyond the scope of services of the Prevention Gold package will be billed separately.
