The MeikoVet small animal practice in Maienfeld was opened in 2015 and is part of the Meiko Animal Competence Center. Our modern small animal practice offers a pleasant, friendly and well-equipped environment for your pets.

It is particularly important to us to make the visit to the vet as pleasant as possible. Dr. med. vet. Laura Loi, the manager of the veterinary practice in Maienfeld, is fear-free certified and is committed to minimizing stress for your pet.

We offer a wide range of veterinary services, including orthopaedic treatment, routine check-ups, dental treatment and other medical procedures.

We not only treat patients from Maienfeld, but also from Chur, Zizers, Untervaz, Trimmis, Fläsch, Malans, Bad Ragaz, Pfäfers, Landquart, as well as from Lichtenstein, Prättigau and the Grisons Rhine Valley. We also offer home visits in the above-mentioned regions by prior arrangement and where possible, provided no complex diagnostics are required.

On Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 7 pm to approx. 8.30 pm there will be a lecture by Ulv Philipper in our veterinary practice. Ulv Philipper specializes in the analysis and development of relationships within social communities. Senior Check-Up Campaign for Dogs and Cats

Do you have a senior dog or cat at home? Have you ever considered a senior check-up?

As with us humans, the risk of age-related ailments increases in our dogs and cats as they get older. Therefore, the motto is “Prevention – Recognition – Treatment”. The good news is that many diseases can be treated. However, since many symptoms remain hidden for a long time, it is important for older animals to have regular check-ups with the vet.

The senior check-up includes:

Thorough general examination
Blood test
Blood pressure measurement in cats
Urine test in dogs
Detailed discussion of the results

For an appointment and to find out in detail which examinations are carried out, please contact your veterinary practice.

Depending on the findings, further examinations may be recommended, but these are not included in the senior check-up.
