Your veterinary practice in Eastern Switzerland

The MeikoVet small animal practice in Frauenfeld was opened in 2017 and has since established itself as a competent animal health center with a lot of passion for the well-being of your four-legged companions. The multi-complex building at Schaffhauserstrasse 74 is also home to a branch of Meiko Heimtierbedarf AG, so together we offer a convenient point of contact for pet owners in the form of an animal competence center. With modern premises and spacious facilities, we offer your pets optimal care in a trusting environment.

In 2024, the experienced Dr. med. vet. Maja Tischhauser took over the management of the practice. Dr. med. vet. Maja Tischhauser has been part of the team for many years and has extensive experience in veterinary medicine. Our range of services includes comprehensive medical examinations, ultrasound examinations, gynecological examinations, general health care and advice, vaccination and travel disease advice. We also offer HD/ED x-rays, lameness examinations and pain therapy, castrations, tumor surgery and other soft tissue operations, castrations and treatments for rabbits, guinea pigs and other small pets, as well as laboratory and diagnostic services. We also offer state-of-the-art dental treatment with dental x-rays to maintain your pet’s dental health in the long term. On request, we can also accompany your beloved pet on its final journey with a home visit.

Our veterinary practice in Frauenfeld also offers laparoscopic castrations and selected orthopaedic surgery in collaboration with specialized surgeons on site.

We welcome patients from all over Thurgau, from Frauenfeld, but also from neighboring regions such as Uesslingen-Buch, Warth-Weiningen, Felben-Wellhausen, Ellikon an der Thur, Gachnang, Gerlikon and Islikon. Our dedicated team is on hand with help and advice when it comes to the health and well-being of your pets – with us, your pet is in the best of hands.

You cannot keep your appointment?
In this case, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance, for surgery appointments at least 48 hours, so that the reserved time does not have to be charged. Thank you very much.

The senior check-up includes:

Thorough general examination
Analysis of various blood values, hormone levels, and biomarkers
If required: urinalysis
Detailed discussion of the results

Please note our changed opening hours over the holidays:
On December 24th, our practice is open until 12 noon, and on December 31st until 4 p.m.

On Saturday, December 27, 2025 and on Saturday, January 3, 2026, our practice will be exceptionally closed.

Spezielle Öffnungszeiten:
Am Freitag, 22. August 2025 schliesst unsere Praxis bereits um 15.30 Uhr und am Samstag, 23. August 2025 bleibt die Praxis ausnahmsweise geschlossen, aufgrund unseres Teamevents.

Special opening hours:
On Saturday, May 17, 2025 we will exceptionally close our practice at 10 am.
